We just got back from our first Capitol Wine Tour. Day 1 was both ambitious and successful. We hit 9 wineries, beginning at Dry Mills at 10:30 AM, and we finished at Village Winery after 5:00. We met some great people and tasted some fantastic (and some not-so-fantastic) wine. All these wineries were within 10 miles or so of each other, so distance was on our side. We even had time for a sit down lunch (but who had the idea to order beer?).
Day 2 was even better. Without the challenge of having to hit so many wineries, we were able to relax, take our time, and enjoy our stops. Tops on our list was our visit to Lost Creek, where we had great wine, top-of-the-line burgers, and excellent music.
